Governor: Foreign reserves are generally affected by the currency valuations as well as gold valuations.

Governor – This is a charge for the service that is being provided by banks for all customers.

Governor: State banks are very stable and are not in need of any support to maintain stability.

Governor: We have continued a massive publicity campaign and named certain offenders and forwarded to the Attorney General.

Governor: The Gold handed over was much less than that and all have been valued and taken into the reserves.

Governor: All funds for the North development has been already provided by the Govt.Any donations must be routed thru Govt.
Question from @Apelankawe: Whats the Grand total in #EPF fund? How much is invested,where? Is it used for any other govt expense? Why cut trees to pay EPF?
Governor: Rs. 1.3 Trillion of which about 95% is in Govt. securities. Balance in corporate securities. EPF contributors may use different sources to raise funds to pay the dues to the EPF.

Governor: Yes, but many matters have not been represented yet which would improve SL’s ranking. Which we would do so soon.
Question by @AmanthaP: Are changing climate patterns having an impact on economy/What kind of an impact have they had in monetary terms/GDP loses?
Governor: Sri Lanka also is impacted by the climate change in the form of droughts,floods and other natural disasters. We take these matters into consideration when framing monetary policy.
