Sri Lanka’s leading software services and Aviation solutions specialist was awarded at Global Commerce Excellence Awards initiated by CBSL Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
Celebrating its third consecutive year, The prestigious Global Commerce Excellence Awards was held in December 2014 at Galadari Hotel initiated and guided by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal. JKCS; the Software services arm of John Keells Holdings was recognized at the ceremony amongst the chosen leading commercial entities in Sri Lanka for its outstanding contribution in support of the country’s economy during the war stricken period.
The bi-annual event is a platform established to recognize the companies, institutions and banks including the public sector along with individuals who have contributed in a large scale to support the country’s GDP growth. Over 100 such organizations and individuals are nominated each year at the event.
JKCS was acknowledged for its contribution to the growth in Sri Lanka’s IT/BPO sector. Actively engaging in Resourcing and Software Development services the company is also an acknowledged regional leader in Aviation and passenger services solutions catering to a wide spectrum of airlines and Airports worlwide. JKCS was also the Overall Gold winners of BCS National Best Quality Software Awards back in 2012.
“I thank sincerely the Governer of CBSL Mr. Cabraal and the initiators of this event for creating a platform which inspires companies like us to set our benchmarks higher constantly and I believe the event captures the essence of commercial activity in Sri Lanka like no other. Said JC Ekanayake (CEO of JKCS), “It is a great honor to be receiving this award on behalf of JKCS, and we are looking forward to sharing this stage in the coming years with the outstanding commercial bodies in the country.” He further added.
