ICT government bodies, top level engineering and ICT universities, industry giants and medical industry will showcase their latest ICT products and services at the exhibition.Over 100 schools countrywide, including the North and East, are invited to participate.
The ‘Info V’ 2014 launching ceremony will be held on 21st March (Friday) at 3.00 pm at the school main hall, graced by Minister of Education Hon. BandulaGunawardenaas the Chief Guest.
The exhibition will be open to students on 21st March (Friday) from 8.00am and to the public on22nd March (Saturday) from 8.00 am to 5.00pm.
‘InfoV’ – 2014 comprises five main segments which are;
1. ICT Application and Trade Exhibition
2. Workshops on ICT themes by industrial and academic experts
3. Trilingual nationwide ICT article competition and launch of the ICT Magazine
4. ICT Quiz Program on March 22
5. Entertainment zone
The key objective of the program is to enhance the usage of ICT in broader perspective among schoolchildren for effective learning and development, and to equip them with knowledge to be a ‘global citizens’. It is in keeping with the government’s ICT policy to ensure effective bridging between rural, urban and global knowledge sources.
