Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established on 29th January 1985. Hence 2010 marks the 25th anniversary. The department has many activities planned for this year to celebrate the silver jubilee.

The Federation of Information Technology Sri Lanka (FITIS) is organising the largest exhibition to be held in the Jaffna peninsula after 30 years, the Mini Infotel Jaffna exhibition, which will be held from 26-28 February at the Wembady Girls' High School, Jaffna.
