This year World Cyber games Asia event was held from 3^rd to the 5^th of July 2009 at Suntec City, Singapore. Team from Sri Lanka represented for this year`s competition. And that was the first time Sri Lanka participated for the Asian Finals.

Guitar Hero World Tour

Sri Lankan team had to compete with 14 teams from 14 countries. Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, China, Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines. Parallel to this event they also had the Singapore National Final on 3rd of July.

Guitar Hero World Tour

After two day of competition, Sri Lankan team gave its best but was not able to come to the final round in this year’s Asian championship. But it was a good opportunity to gain skills and improve further for next year.

Final results:

Overall winner of the competition was Vietnam. They were able to get two gold medals from DOTA and FIFA 09 games. New Zeeland got the Gold medal for Guitar Hero game.

World final of the World Cyber games will be held at Chengdu,China. There will be teams from 80 countries for that competition.
And the National finals of the Sri Lanka for that competition will be held in September at BMICH,Colombo.
